Real estate on Lake Garda

With a total catchment area of 3,500 m², Lake Garda offers many different options similar to South Tyrol. Its mild climate and unique location between the Alps and the Po plain make Lake Garda not only a popular destination for a short break, but also a spot ideal for a second or even a first home.

Northern bank of Lake Garda
The northern bank of Lake Garda belongs to the Trentino region and is surrounded by mountains such as the Monte Baldo. Riva del Garda, the second largest city on Lake Garda, and Torbole are especially sought after by surfers, sailors and mountain bikers. The extraordinary mix of mountain and coastal landscape, as well as the easy accessibility are further advantages of this zone. The interest in real estate on the northern bank has lessened recently, which is mainly due to the high prices that are now prevailing due to low supply.

Eastern bank of Lake Garda
This part of Lake Garda belongs entirely to the region of Veneto and has been enjoying great popularity ever since. Especially Torri del Benaco, Garda, Bardolino, Lazise and Brenzone are places where there is a huge demand in addition to a very wide range. There are high quality, priced luxury villas directly on the lake, as well as cheaper real estate in the hinterland for sale. Here, the price of real estate as well as in all other parts of Lake Garda depends mainly on the location: Properties located directly on the lake with a clear view of the lake are significantly more expensive than properties that may only a few hundred meters further inland and offer only a limited or no lake view.

Southern bank of Lake Garda
The southern bank of Lake Garda is an area that, unlike most of the other areas of Lake Garda, is busy not only in summer but also in winter. Desenzano, the largest city of Lake Garda, which has 27,000 inhabitants is located here, next to Sirmione and Peschiera. Milan, Venice and Bologna are less than 80 minutes drive from this part of Lake Garda, while Verona can be reached in just over 20 minutes from Peschiera. Thanks to the excellent infrastructures that the towns on the southern bank of the lake offer, especially Lake Garda-fans from near Verona are increasingly attracted to this part of the lake.

Western bank of Lake Garda
The western bank of Lake Garda runs from the mountainous Limone to Padenghe. The main town of the west bank is undoubtedly Toscolano-Maderno, where there is also the greatest demand for residential properties and a correspondingly versatile offer. The largely prosperous small towns of Saló, Gardone and Gargnano have a special charm; thanks to their imposing architecture, their beautiful lemon gardens and their direct location on the lake. The hilly interior is dominated by vineyards and olive cultivation.
